Edd Donovan

Folk Singer-Songwriter, Edd Donovan, will be performing at Walk the Line Festival on Friday 10th October 2014.

Edd’s sound is predominantly inspired by his interest in modern folk music and work with other performers such as Nathaniel Rateliff, Ane Brun, Fleet Foxes and Bowerbirds. However, as a qualified Mental Health Social Worker, Edd has written and recorded songs that reflect his experiences and aims to share the opinion that Social Work needs more positive media attention that it currently receives. His music has been described as wise, heartfelt and unique.

Released in April 2014, their debut album ‘Something to Take the Edge Off’ was immediately ranked under Great Debut Albums in iTunes Singer-Songwriter section. This album has received extensive radio play, and has been named Folk Radio’s UK album of the month. His sound has been compared to the likes of Buddy Holly and Bob Dylan.

“Formidable…This band blew me away” - Wychwood Festival 2014

“Edd’s unique song craft proves to be witty, thoughtful and blessed with a melodic touch” - Folk Radio UK
