We are pleased to announce that Shlomo, named one of the most-heard beat boxers in history, will be the headline act at The Frog and Fiddle on Saturday 11th October.
After becoming the champion at the King of the Jam beatboxing competition in London, Guinness World Record holder, Shlomo, became well recognized for his original beatboxing techniques and talent. In 2004, Shlomo collaborated with Björk on her song ‘Oceania’, which was later performed at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in Athens. This performance reached an estimated 3.9 billion people around the world and was nominated for a Grammy Award.
He then went on to the UK, Europe, Canada, and after performing at London’s Queen Elizabeth Concert Hall, he became Artist in Residence at the Southbank Centre in 2007. As part of this residency, he performed in a collaborative series of concerts named ‘Music Through Unconventional Means’ from 2007-2010, featuring artists such as Jarvis Cocker, DJ Yoda and Martha Wainwright.
Being a favourite on the UK Festival Scene, he’s performed at festivals including Latitude, Bestival, Glastonbury and Lovebox, and has collaborated with global stars such as Ed Sheeran, James Morrison and Jason Mraz.
